I won’t deny it... it is hard for me to get in the Christmas mood since I moved abroad. It’s just so different! ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
When I was growing up Christmas was literally a party: We’d be playing with my cousins in the pool until the evening, when grandma or an aunt would come call us to get dressed for family dinner, you’d hear Latin festive music blasting from every house around the block and fireworks going on and on for a month, and Christmas Eve would be a night when the grown ups danced all night while children played with their new toys until we’d fall asleep on some couch because we resisted to leave the party. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
And don’t get me wrong, I’m not complaining. It’s just hard not to look back at all of those moments... I guess I just get a little bit nostalgic about that feeling. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
The good thing is that, as nostalgic as I can get, I also look forward to the traditions we start with @tornyosikrsiz. One day we’ll have our home and we can shape up our Christmas to be how we want it to be ✨.⁣⁣

That’s what I wish for everyone this Christmas! One that someday you’ll look back to and remember how happy you felt, one that will make you nostalgic but hopeful, one that gives you that warmth 💛⁣⁣

I know most of you won’t understand a word of this, but i had to share it ❤️ If there’s something this year brought for LGBT+ rights in Hungary is motivation to fight back. As much and the government pushed, the Hungarian people were ready to push back and I won’t ever forget seeing +30.000 people supporting our community at Budapest Pride. This year brought the fire in a lot of people and I hope it continues in 2022... specially when we have elections coming! 🗳⁣

We've been asked this question a million times and it has also been in conversations about our goals as a couple. For now, we don't want kids because we have other priorities in life, mostly professional... but we don't discard the idea of giving a loving home to a child in the future ❤.⁣

The problem comes when the question isn't about if or when we want to have children, but rather about being able to do it. Living in Hungary, it is a fact that we wouldn't be able to form a family... while in Colombia the Constitutional Court ruled in favour of full same-sex adoption rights 🏳‍🌈. ⁣
⁣
How horrible it is that @tornyosikrisz would have to leave his own country to be able to accomplish such life milestones? 😤 Why is the Hungarian government turning against its own citizens? ⁣

My life is mine, and it is for me to make my own choices and decisions. I don't want my life decisions to be made for me, I do not want the Hungarian government, or any government actually, to dictate what I can or can't do with my life ✊. ⁣
